Via The Turkey Purge – A family of 5 were detained while hiding at a hunters’ club in Ipsala district of Edirne, Turkey’s border province with Greece, on Sept 14.
Gendarmerie rounded up the couple as well as their three children, aged 2, 6 and 9. The state-run Anadolu news agency said that the couple, identified only with their initials E.K. and H.K., has an outstanding arrest warrant as part of an investigation into the Gulen movement, and that they were bound to attempt an illegal entry to Greece.
E.K. and H.K. were taken to a police station in Edirne’s Kesan district while the details regarding the children were unknown at the time of this writing.
